Pastor Emmanuel Dessalines

Pastor Emmanuel Dessalines is the visionary behind Vie Transformée Ministries, as well as the senior pastor and lead teacher of Vie Transformée Church. He was born in Canada on March 15, 1973, and grew up in Montreal within a Christian family that had emigrated from Haiti a few years earlier.

In 1989, Pastor Emmanuel’s life took on a whole new dimension when he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. From the moment of his conversion, he was driven by an all-consuming passion for the Gospel. To this day, he maintains that it was the finest and most important decision of his life. In 1991, while pursuing his college studies, the young Emmanuel Dessalines had a dream in which he saw himself proclaiming the Gospel to a vast crowd. It was at that precise moment that his calling was confirmed. Subsequently, he served in his local church, where he received comprehensive training under his pastor, a doctor of theology. From that time on, he was a diligent student of the Word of God.

In the meantime, he met his wife and got married. During their first year of marriage, he became convinced that he was among those called to dedicate their lives to the well-being of others through priestly service. Consequently, he abandoned his studies in computer science, left his job, and devoted himself to full-time ministry. He began his ministry as an evangelist in 1998. Over the course of several years, he traveled to many countries, leaving the mark of the Gospel on people's hearts and souls. His travels took him to places such as the Bahamas, Belgium, Spain, the United States, France, Israel, Martinique, and Haiti.

He was ordained for ministry in 1999. A few years passed before he was gripped by a new conviction: the founding of Transformed Life Ministries! On January 5, 2005, the first worship service of the Transformed Life church was held, with a total of just ten people in the congregation. Without any financial aid or sponsorship from a mission organization, Pastor Dessalines succeeded—in less than a year—in gathering over a hundred people week after week to teach them the Word of God. At that time, 90% of the church members were non-believers who had previously faced various social issues.

In a province where the average congregation numbers around sixty people and young people are increasingly disengaged from Judeo-Christian values, this was considered a remarkable achievement. Reverend Dessalines ignited their zeal for God by launching two weekly Bible studies to meet the high demand. He restored hope to a generation that society had already written off. Today, thousands of people from all walks of life follow and listen to Pastor Emmanuel’s teachings.

Reflecting Reverend Dessalines’s benevolent nature and the passion driving the members under his leadership, several programs were launched within *Ministères Vie Transformée* (Transformed Life Ministries). Pastor Dessalines gained renown for his simple, practical sermons—drawing on his own life experiences and the Word of God—that enabled people to apply the teachings to their own lives. His willingness to confront the challenges of modern society directly earned him significant recognition. He was honored for his work with Montreal’s next generation at the *Regroupement Jeunesse en Action* recognition gala in March 2012. Later, on January 28, 2016, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Montreal honored him during the celebration of the 212th anniversary of Haiti’s independence, highlighting his significant contribution to enhancing the image of Montreal’s Haitian community. That same year, on October 10, 2016, Pastor Emmanuel received an honorary doctorate in Theology from the Union of Private Universities of Haiti.

Pastor Emmanuel has authored several key teaching series—such as "Faith That Transforms," "Six Truths Every Single Person Should Know," "Building a Fulfilling Relationship," "Building a Strong Family," "The Structure for Effective Ministry," and "Satan, Not in My House!"—that have impacted the lives of thousands. Beyond his ministry achievements, Pastor Emmanuel is married to Pastor Naomie Montissol Dessalines, and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children. They remain jointly committed to sharing the Word of God daily—a Word that breaks the chains of the captive and revitalizes the spiritual lives of men and women across the globe.

Pastor Naomie Montissol

Pastor Naomie Montissol is the co-founder of Transformed Life Ministries. She leads the Transformed Women’s Ministry and oversees new members at the Transformed Life Center. She also provides counseling to anyone seeking spiritual or other guidance.

Naomie Montissol was born on April 6, 1974, in the city of Jacmel, Haiti. When she was nine years old, her family immigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal. From a young age, she took an interest in spiritual matters, becoming involved in her church at every level. Driven by a growing thirst for the Lord, she attended every meeting during the great revival that swept through the province of Quebec in the 1990s. It was during this time, at the age of 18, that she met Pastor Emmanuel Dessalines. They married four years later, and their union was blessed with three wonderful children.

In 1994, she was one of the leaders of an evangelistic group—the *Groupes Bibliques Universitaires et Collégiaux* (GBUC)—which had a significant impact on evangelism in Montreal. A few years later, she obtained her college diploma in Social Sciences.

In 1997, when her husband dedicated himself to full-time ministry, she thought her role would be to encourage and support him in decision-making. To her surprise, she discovered that the Lord had also chosen her to minister to His people. Consequently, in 2002, filled with conviction, she left her career at the Bank of Montreal to answer God’s call. From that moment on, her journey with the Lord took a new direction. She would later say that she learned to know Him in a way no person could have taught her, and that the essence of her ministry lies within those many experiences.

After her husband received the vision for Transformed Life Ministries, Pastor Naomie supported him until its realization. Consequently, in 2005, she became the co-founder of the Transformed Life Church. A woman of prayer and faith, she has since been a tremendous source of support at every stage of the ministry's development. She is thus the ideal partner for Pastor Dessalines in expanding the church through various satellite locations, better enabling them to meet the needs of God's people.

Her passion and love for the women attending her congregation week after week drove her to reach out to them in a new way; consequently, in 2010, she launched the "Transformed Women" ministry. Dedicated entirely to women, this ministry aims to help them discover their identity as children of God while fostering the development of their character and self-confidence. To date, she supports these women—enabling them to realize their full potential—through various platforms, including teachings, online video segments, retreats, round-table discussions, and seminars. Given the ministry’s remarkable results and the enthusiastic response from women, Pastor Naomie quickly gained recognition among other ministries in Montreal. The precision and insight with which she addressed key topics led to numerous international engagements; she made a lasting impact during her visits to several countries, including the United States, France, Martinique, and Haiti.

In addition to women's ministry, Pastor Naomie works alongside her husband across various areas of ministry, offering her assistance and valuable counsel for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Also the author of numerous teachings, her sole aim is to see lives transformed for their destinies.
